2001 Cadillac draining gas
Is there a place on the fuel rail that I can attach a hose and use the fuel pump to pump the gas out of the fuel tank? it'* a DTS that has been sitting for a few years. The tank is about three quarters full.

First thing do the fuel pump even still work the alcohol in the gas most the time will lockup the fuel pump about 99% of the time if left sitting
with out starting it up

Regal Guy, Your above statement is confusing due to lack of punctuation.
The first thing to do is look for a fuel tank drain plug along the bottom.
If no drain, drop the tank or you will have to pull a fuel line before or after the filter, and jumper the fuel pump relay.

I think the big concern Regal Guy is trying to express is that of corrosion. Ethanol attracts water, water corrodes fuel pump, corroded fuel pump dies.
I do have to agree about the method however, disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter, and jumper the fuel pump relay. You're going to find out really quickly if the fuel pump is dead or not. If it'* dead, well, it'* going to be fun....

Ten cars towed in the shop.
All had been siting over a year with full or half full gas tanks.
And actual 100% of them the fuel pump was locked up from
corrosion from the alcohol in the gas.
Now these all are not E85 cars.
If they do anything different to the fuel pump in those to combat the
corrosion alcohol does.
I don't know.
As far as a gas tank drain have not see one of those in car in 30 years.

I take it the car wont start ?
have you even seen if you have fuel pressure?
My thinking dead fuel pump from the alcohol in the gas its a natural corrosive and eats fuel pumps alive if there not stated up to run the fuel pump for long periods of time.
If E85 pumps are different I have no idea I would think they would have to be.

Actually, I went to were its parked to do some chores, I put a battery charger on it and did my chores. An hour later, I disconnected the charger and turned the key, it has 3/4 of a tank of gas. The fuel pump ran so after a minute or two deliberation, I turned the key and it started right up. I let it run for a few minutes and then shut it off. It showed no problems on the dashboard. I couldn't move it as the driveway was blocked, and I couldn't let it run longer as it was in an attached garage. What should I do next?

I personally would get another 5 gallons of fresh fuel, and overdose on a Marine ethanol stabilizer with water remover added to the fuel.
Then fire it up & take it for a drive locally, and see how it does.
Walmart may sell Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment. This stuff cures fuel problems well.
