Cadillac has a a system call CVRSS for stability & ride control that controls the fluid dampening by valving it internally in the strut. The car a sophisticated controller for this all to function. You can replace them with Cadillac parts if you want to maintain the system. They are not cheap at all 1 strut can cost $300 to over $600.

Default Shocks

ok heres the problems...as the caddy is not mines...I trying to get my homeboy a nice bday toy for his 98...and his car has been sagging for a while. I just installed monroes and there great and since advance still has them on sale I'm thinking of grabbing him a pair along with the mounts for his. But i want to make sure there compatible and will not cause any complications in the future. I"m not purchasing caddy parts/anything over 100 dollar for replacements. So im just trying to get the best @ a reasonably price? ??

So monroes ma822 and what about the mounts (any brand)???

The Arnott aftermarket strut is the only brand availiable for a Deville, they will set you back $200 or so a corner.
