SRX sprung a leak!
Last night I took the family out to dinner and about half way through our dinner a nice old couple comes up to the table and asked if we own a silver Cadillac. Uhh yeah why? Well we just wanted to let you know it has a huge puddle of coolant under it. Well great I thought. Sure enough she was puking coolant. I called my neighbor who was nice enough to grab my Yukon and car trailer and pick us up from the restaurant. Today I looked at it and it looked like the water pump might be the issue but after I got it off the weep hole looked clean and dry. I went ahead and threw a water pump at it but I don't have a pressure tester adapter for the late model GM coolant reservoir. I ordered one from Orilley'* but it won't be here till late this afternoon. I'm hoping the water was it cause It seems to be fine now. The adapter cost almost as much as the water pump did.

I hate the unknowns of leaks or squeaks.

ive had bad luck with pumps on new cars... a few months ago i had to do one on a 2010 commander with 80k on the clock. it was the hemi with 16 plugs too. you would think they would put the best of the best on they're flagship engine. thats chrysler "group" for ya.

Well after I picked up the 73.00 pressure tester adapter my wife'* car doesn't leak except for a little at the upper hose when I apply the full 16lbs of pressure. I will replace the spring clamp with a good standard clamp and I think it will be fine.
