engine revs as soon as i turn my key - LeSabre
Hey everyone,
As my 2001 is stillllllll in the shop now getting a steering rack and a few other goodies... im driving my sisters LeSabre Limited. ( I reallllly miss my car, its crazy. )
Anyway i was driving home today and the engine light goes on. I figure to shut the engine off at a stop light and start her back up...the lights stilll on. I drive 5 miles to home and shut the engine off...let her rest a few minutes. 5 minutes later i turn the key and the engine just starts off reving...like from 0 to 2500. Trying to not hurt the engine i shut it off...wait a second and do it again.....jumps to 3000. Gradually accelerating over 3 or 4 seconds to get that high, its not instant. its 50 degrees out here, not all that cold for the already warm engine to need to idle higher.
A half hour later i go out to start her again, i need the thing tonight...and its fine. the engine light is on, but running normal.
The engine light has a 11 year history of going off and on, my uncle at his shop usually fixes the busted sensor.
Anyone have any idea whats going on?
