Where does the ANTENNA connect??
Hello everyone
Yup A newbie here. Not sure if this is posting in the right place, but I thought i'd try. Its a97 Buick LeSabre with a built in rear glass antenna.
of course the reception sucks (in AM mode). Sooo, I am going to put a mast antenna in. I would like (LOVE) to be able to disconnect from the rear shield and run a three foot cable to my new antenna. I am not sure if this is possible as I cant seem to find where the thing is located!! Is it at the base of the rear shield, at the top? does it unplug like a regular connection?
I really do not want to run a cable from the dash thru the car and finally into the trunk. Any windshield guys out there or maybe you had to replace the rear shield before and can recollect the connections.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bob R

The reception on mine is horrible. The idea I had was to replace the rear windshield antenna with some sort of fender mounted type in the rear.
I figured there was an antenna wire already running the lenght of the car to the rear windshield. I wanted to NOT have to replace the entire cable and just hook my new
fender mounted antenna to the existing cable. Well, I found the rear antenna attaching point. Its in the left rear sail panel (passenger side). It looks like all I have to do is run a cable from that point, thru the trunk and onto my NEW and Functunal
antenna. Yee-Ha!!
