Default Transmission line disconnects at radiator?? 02 regal

I have been trying to get the quick disconnects to release so I can replace radiator. It is an 02 Buick regal. The top line was able to unscrew but bottom was so rounded off I couldn't get any grip. I tried various plastic tools for quick release with no luck. I tried to remove the pin to see if that made a difference but I still can't get the line out.
I am at a complete loss as to how to get it to release so I can replace it.
Thanks in advance

they are simple to release with this tool

you slide the plastic cover back, insert tool, rotate, and this spreads the jesus clip so you can just pull the line out.....

a little harder with this tool

slide plastic cover back, use pick to completely remove jesus clip, and then line comes out.....

The reason why they call it a jesus clip? When you pry on it, and it goes flying and you can't find it, the first words out of your mouth are, "Jesus Chr***!"

I removed the pin and it won't budge. I sprayed it with pb blast and still won't release. I haven't poppwd off the pin on the bottom but I'm assuming it is the same as the top. I got the plastic variation of of that tool. it pushed the pin up but it wouldn't release. There has got to be something I am doing wrong

Once the clip is removed it should slide off relatively easy right?

Even with the clip removed I can't get it to come out. The line budges just a hair

Yes, once the clip is completely removed, there is nothing to hold it in.....

Can you twist the line, left and right(may have to take lines out of holding clips)? If yes, then twist and pull at the same time......

One will completely unscrew from radiator but end won't disconnect. The other will do neither. Is there a certain motion I have to use like push then pull?

Is this a Ford 6.0L? That'* what that tool is designed for....

You unscrewed the top fitting from the top line?

On the bottom fitting, did you completely remove the metal horse shoe shaped clip? If yes, then twist and pull on the line....

No it isn't lol. So is the top disconnect different from the bottom? Shouldn't the top disconnect as well when the pin is completely removed. I didn't realise there was a difference in disconnect tools besides size. Is there a different style tool for GM?
