'96 Regal dying in traffic
This is my daughters car and I can only relate what she is telling me. 3800 with approx. 95xxx. She is telling me that sometimes, and it seem to be happening more frequently, when she stops in traffic, the car goes dead. No noise, no engine shutter, nothing. So far she has been lucky enough to, sometimes, get it to fire right up. Other times it is a waiting period of a few minutes. I asked if the car was idling ok and she thinks it is. She is away at school, but will be coming home next weekend. Any idea about what might be going on/what to look for? Thanks.

ICM and crank sensor are pretty common ones for that. if you can get it to quit and check for spark and have none or weak spark its likely one of those

Have the fuel pressure checked also.
