2003 Century Fleet car w/o receiver module (confirmed by dealer. I could do a cheap dirty where fob opens/closes locks via battery powered receiver. Crude. Anyone have diagram of where the (ROI?) module plugs into the car and where. Parts man refused me the part number of the GM aftermarket module to bring the body up to speed with factory installed modules. Quoted $350 for the part and $60 labor and says the 2003 modules are unofficially out of stock but floating around the parts system, hence available.

Cheapest and easiest alternative is the $10 device, stick it behind the driver'* door lock handle, wire to the lock/unlock switch and power with 3 or 4 of "C" cells needing replacing every 6 months.

I would like to use car battery power and tie into door and trunk lock/unlock, horn and lights. This requires information I'm asking you for...about the connector the factory module plugs into, where it it and the wire color/functions.

Anyone have these wiring diagrams? And can relay the info? Please

What is RFA? What cluster?
I have factory power locks and am probably going to engineer an aftermarket system. According to the Buick dealer parts dept, all cars have the connector but fleet cars didn't get the module. He wants $400-500 to install the factory add-on kit. They are out of production for the 2003 Century but he claims the ability to find one within the US dealer network.

I have no pull-parts junk yard nearby to explore. I have explored the lock/unlock switch at the drivers door and can add an aftermarket there but don't know about getting +12v in the door. One Rec-11 claims 5Ma idle current so a pack of "C" cells wouldn't last 6 months. I'd like to find diagrams to know where the factory module is normally installed and the wiring at the connector. Diagram for the door would also be helpful to locate +12v.
I do NOT want to get into the wiring under the dashboard/steering wheel area.

Thanks. I await receipt of a ebay DVD service manual to get the number. The local Buick dealer parts department guy looked up my VIN and said my car didn't have it and it was against somebodies policy to tell me the part number. He said I could pay them $350-$450 installed price, only then would he would check with other dealers for one.

Thanks for the location, I assume the connector is available after removing a panel above the pedal area. I still am hoping someone here knows that module number.

You already know and I just learned: Couldn't lock the car by standard methods like using the key in the (solitary) driver'* door lock or pressing "lock". One must press "Lock" and listen for the 3 beeps, then press it again and the doors will lock (click), then close driver'* door. Voila

OK, my DVD FSM came and I know know how to get at the keyless module...it'* by removal of 5 bolts holding the cluster in place. I might add, although the software wrapped around this FSM is strange, it does have the proper wiring diagrams etc which I was after. Programming is different than elsewise told...it says to synchronize the transmitter/receiver just hold the Lock/Unlock both down for 7 seconds...Quite a bit different that the keyin/keyout/keyin/keyout etc routine.

The FSM referrs to it as RCDLR. Is that an adequate module number?
