1995 Riviera Trans seems fine other than no overdrive. It was working great???? Is trans toast? or maybe some kind of sensor or switch? trans is fairly new

I have the same problem. You are probably going to have to rebuild the transmission. A scanner would give you a better Idea what is going on with the transmission. I am going to be rebuilding mine in a few weeks.
( god I can't wait) I will keep you informed.

Do you have a RPM gauge in your car, if so, what was it reading while you were driving?

Sounds like you may have an intermittant TCC Solenoid, and it'* starting to go out.

My theory.....if it'* working now and all.

Generally with heat, it'll make it slip in OD more than just not use it at all.

Where is the TCC switch? Is it easily accessible with the pan off? I had one go out on my 87 Grand national and it was easy to change.
