Pk Ave -DO the Later Models Still Have DIC/switch to KM/Per Hour?
My 97 PA thru the DIC can be switched between mph & km per hour
On this 2004 CL add would it still have the DIC to switch to KM? ( I do still see the digital readout) Just want to confirm...
Here I would have to have both to bring it back into Canada..

Art I just looked on GM service and under instrument panel description and operation it says the driver can select miles or kilometers.

yessir. in the usa atleast, its required to have both miles and km visible on the gauge cluster. if it dont have the mph and km both displayed it will switch.
one thing to look out for is the newer base models. they only have an odometer where the DIC usually is. then you get an ugly black bar where the dic buttons usually are and only have a trip button.
--by the way, that is wayyyyyy too much money for the mileage. i only paid $2800 for my new car with 103,000 and from what i have heard i could have gotten it for much less had i shopped around longer.

For those options/mileage that price is close to private party selling prices, at least according to KBB.
I am sure I left out some options not mentioned, but a basic sedan with the options mentioned, in excellent condition is $4,943.00 USD
If it is actually only in Very Good condition then the price drops by 300.00
I'd not pay over 4,500.00 for it if it were me, and that is as long as everything checks out, and it has had the intake manifold gasket replaced.

Thanks Guys! That makes me feel much better knowing up to 2007 should have the capability of switching into KM/per hr.
I was using the above as an example of what I might face ahead...
Really I am looking for an 06-07 with less than 50 k miles if possible...super clean//etc..
I like the Adriatic blue as well.
He maybe one day I will have a sign like Jason that says..
"Buick Only Parking Allowed"
Others Towed Immediately!

Yes that is correct me bad. 1997-2005 is the N American series.
I sometimes get that confused as my other ride KJ was produced to 2007.

Park Ave Miles/Km
You switch between the mph and Km by using the bottom button on the DIC push button panel. Takes a second or two to switch. Mine is an original that I bought new in 2001 and only has 64,000 miles on it.

In my area, 2004 P/A, with all those options listed, in good condition, varies from 5-6K dollars......
On the left hand side of the I/P should be your DIC buttons, as mentioned...scroll though to see if you have the metric option......but usually when you have it, the analog speedometer has two rings, mph and kmh(inside and outside).....so that when you switch over, you see the correct kmh numbers ......

Ya Gus the PA is kinda different...It only has the numbers (single ring) and when you go from MPH to KMPH there is some sort of instant recalibration of the needle that takes place.
So at 60mph you hit KM and the needle goes exactly to 100...Nice!
