Default Park Avenue 2001 rear air fittings

I replaced the rear shocks on my friends PA with KYB SR1002s. I spliced a monroe ak29 kit on the lines since the OE were unusable. they dont fit snugly and lose air.

Is there a better kit or a tweak to use?

I had a similar problem. I cut the good fittings for the shock off the AK29 kit and spliced it in with a brass union that they sell to install after market oil pressure gauges.
