Default ?help re; dilling tstat and FelPro LIM gaskets plastic pcs

Ok doing my 2000 Lesabre UIM and LIM gaskets...The LIM gaskets are the metal frame Felpros...there are 2 sets of end seals...one looks plastic others are blue colored silicone...which do I use ??

Also I drilled the tstat but I drilled it 1/8" and now I see it was suppossed to be 1/16...should I get another ?

It'* best to run a 195 in the winter time and switch out to a 180 in the summer time.

As far as the end seals, when you remove the old ones you will know which ones to use. The others are for supercharged engines.

To add to the end gaskets I would use a skim coat of RTV all the way down it on both sides and not just in the corners. It just helps to keep oil from seeping past the rubber end gasket.

What'* the rationale behind this idea? Stock is 180, and I just replaced mine recently with 180. It'* running fine and heat is working as expected. Plenty cold in IL too.

stock is 195, and thats what the pcm expects for fueling and such thats really what you should be using. some people use a 180 in the summer but unless you have a tuner its no benefit and could be a detriment to performance

Remember when I said above that stock is 180? Disregard my entire message!! :P Of course you are both right, stock is 195... my question about switching was for 180 in the summer and not the other way around. jwfirebird answered that question.
