You need to start with why its constantly running. Considering the car is now 13 years old, I'm wondering if the leveling switch is faulty. Where exactly it is, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure its somewhere on the rear suspension somewhere.

When you had the new ones installed, while the rear was lifted free of weight, did you turn the key on and wait for the air leveling system to come on for a few seconds?
You may have a button instead, that you are supposed to press before bringing the rear back down, I am not sure though, I have only heard some having this though.
I am not a suspension expert, but I am pretty sure this is done so the bags to not get pinched when you lower the car.
I have the same issue with my air leveling system, I have just been waiting for warmer weather to check it out, I have been occasionally been putting a little light machine oil in the nipple on the compressor, so the motor does not die out as fast from the constant running.
Let me find some diagrams that may help you know what to inspect, and they may help some others provide you with better help.
Attached some pics of the compressor in case you needed them.

Forgot to mention, with my issue if I lift up on the right rear side a little, then the compressor shuts off, try that with your car, and if it shuts off like mine, then inspect the linkage/part#3 and see if it is still connected, if so then as Mike mentioned, the leveling senor/part#1 is most likely going bad.
I'd still inspect all lines, and strut air bags for leakage, also check the soft EVAP ones near the compressor, closest to part#20 in the compressor pic, the hoses come to a T, all of mine were dry-rotted, and one became disconnected...
I think there may also be a check valve in the system that can fail and cause the compressor to run all the time, but I do not know much about that.

to see if its the arm or leak/motor disconnect the arm from the lower control arm. if you push it down it should shut off and up it should turn on. its slow so give it some time.
