Default Intake gasket leak

I'll start with saying I'm new to this site and hope to find good info so I can keep this car I just bought...
I have a 1997 buick regal gs
3.8 supercharged engine
When I bought it it was running hot and was told the headgaskets were shot... I pulled the stick to find NO water in the oil
I hurried giving the man 500 for it...
Got it home and started to tear into it and put the upgraded aluminum lim gaskets on it
got it button up and went to start it and it just spins over... if u hold the gas down she will start and run but no idle...
I'm beginning to think the brand new torque wrench for harbor freight is off (way off)
and when running she still pukes water out like it didn't seal?
I really need some pointers and would appricate all help

If you just topped it off with coolant, its possible it still has air pockets working out.

Which gaskets did you change, the lower manifold gaskets or the head gaskets? We need to know exactly what work you have done to this.

Yes changed the lower intake gaskets since there was no water in the oil...
The bottom gaskets were the aluminum gaskets from advance auto

If it was the lower gaskets, then it would be sucking coolant into the cylinders and pushing it out of the exhaust. Not forcing it out of the radiator as you are saying it is.

Most parts stores have kits that will attach to your radiator and can tell if exhaust gas is entering the cooling system. But the weird thing is, I've been here 12+ years and can't seem to recall a single issue with head gaskets on a 3800.

Iv gotta stupid question
If it had a blown head gasket wouldn't oil have water in it
And honestly I wanna say I smell exhaust coming outta the rad
I don't know if it'* possible if it would do this if the rad is stopped up
I am running out of options except buy a used motor and know what'* going on with it....
