Default Park Avenue engine cradle bushing issues!

Hey guys!

So, i just got home from work. Decided to take the toll road and let the old car stretch her legs one last time before i park it up for the summer. I noticed there was one heck of a clunking and popping coming from the front right. I already knew the cradle bushings were shot, and I have been hearing them clunk for the last year or so on hard right turns. But this was going 80-90 MPH on flat highway. Needless to say, I was concerned.

As soon as I got home, the first thing I did was crawl up next to the car in my work shirt, and looked at the cradle bushings behind the passenger tire. I thought they looked fine, but decided to check the rubber to be sure. The rubber on both of the right rear bushings does a full 360* rotation with absolutely no problem at all. NOT GOOD!

After that, I checked the bolts by hand. One of them, I can turn effortlessly. Tomorrow, I am going to zing em up with the impact and see if that gets them tight enough. Otherwise, it seems the rubber is completely cut and I'll need to finally replace them.

I was hoping to not dump anything else into this car as it is technically now my "winter beater" but if it needs them to be safe again, so be it. I wont be that guy who eventually sells an unsafe car to some unsuspecting person who doesn't know any better.

I'm pretty sure I cheated death tonight. Ought to buy a lottery ticket in the A.M.

That sounds like a bad day waiting to happen for sure!
If there are any tears in those bushings, I would replace them without hesitation.
I hope tightening them up holds it together a while longer.
Did you mark the cradle before, to check for alignments?
