HVAC problems with my 1997 Buick LeSabre Limited
Okay, it'* a LeSabre Limited, as I mentioned earlier, so it'* got this HVAC display/controller:
The computery digital one.
Problem: Blower motor sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. The motor itself was working just fine, and still does, usually. But, it doesn't seem to want to keep working, or turn on when YOU want it to turn on. So far I've tried the motor connection, and the usual fuses and whatnot. No dice.
The display on the HVAC control doesn't work right anymore either. It goes dim, and only comes up either when you hit buttons(but that'* only a sometimes), or when you tap it a little with your finger. Tapping it sometimes gets the motor to start working too.
I can hear the flaps and vents moving in the dash when I hit buttons on the controller to change the airflow though, so that is still working.
On top of all that, the Devil-Cool orange coolant that came with the car finally reared it'* ugly head. Losing oil, losing coolant, it'* all coming out of the manifold and plastic plenum...I was just thinking how badly I wanted to do *THAT* job a second time :( Already did it once on my Bonneville, heh.
