AC Clutch Help Please
New here and hope I'm in the right forum. I am trying to replace the AC clutch on my '92 LeSabre w/3.6l engine. I have read Dan'* (thanks Dan!!) cluch adjustment thread and armed with that knowledge I am almost done but I have run into a snag. I have the pullers and was able to get the pulley off by removing the snap ring but there is one last piece ( I have posted the pic) that needs to come out. It is the piece that has a ceramic(?) ring bonded to shimey metal with the wire plug attatched. I took a pic of the new one and I assume it has to be removed but it will not budge with moderate pressure. Is there a retainer that I can not see? I will try irresistable force if needed but don't want to really screw things up.
I should add that I have not removed the compressor nor any bolts holding it.
Thanks for any advice
Chris

But you did...by posting that tutorial.
It sure helped more than a few times. I will add that AC clutch replacement is a big pain but I got it done. One question...I have the electronic climate control. The air temp here is below 60 is there any way to test the AC using the climate control?

If by chance you took a few pictures and don't mind doing a write up on replacing the clutch, that would be great. I'll put that in tech info so others will benefit from your experience.

If turn on the AC, it should turn on the radiator fan. That way you know it'* turning on. As for getting cold, you can try setting it as low as possible. But the outside temp is a bit low to be running the AC, it can be hard on the compressor.
