Question Hot & cold

I need some help ---- The temperature that is displayed on the control panel flashes and I get strong cold air on the passenger side, and weak warm air on the driver side when the heater is on, is the control panel going bad, or is it something else????

yes it is, I just now for the heck of it, looked in the owners manual and it says if the dislpay is flashing there is a problem with the climate control system and needs to see the dealer ---- cliff

Sounds like a bad actuator motor they have a nylon gear that cracks and the blend door will not move. It is located behind the glove box little tricky to get to but doable. I did one on my 95 buick

What year and make is this car? Older GM'* have vacuum controlled systems, newer ones electric. If you do need the control head you can usually get them on Ebay.

Angry hot & cold

in order to get my heater to work, I have to turn on the control panel, hold the button for hot until it reaches 90 degrees, then hold the cold button until it reaches 60 degrees, then hold the hot button until I get the desired temperature, when I do that I can get the air to the vents and the floor as desired, this is very strange indeed ----- cliff

Sounds like you need a new HVAC control head.
