1993 Buick Security Light *Flashing*
Well finally hit the bad luck, Put the keys in the ignition....no start just security light "flashing" the key word here is flashing as its never done this before, usually the light stays on for 10 minutes and shes fine, she starts right up. I have tinkered with it for about an hour and nothing it just keeps flashing and no start. Any ideas? I have had the solid security light come on before but i am totally stumped on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i do have work in the morning. Thanks in advance guys.

Yes i do have another key, tried it but still did not work. Well i took off the positiver terminal on the battery and waited a few minutes to reset the computer. Got in the car and somehow got it started but the security light just stay on now. took it for a nice drive and it just stay lit no matter what i do. One thing to note is i cannot enter my vehicle through the drivers door as the cold weather has somehow broken my drivers door lock(key will not turn as if the internals are frozen). Please help a member out here, I promise if i get her fixed i will sell her and buy a nice 1995 Bonneville SSEI.
Appreciate any help guys, thanks in advance.
I have also been searching the forums for previous threads so hopefully i can find something as well.

Been lurking here and reading the forums for a couple of hours now, i think i know what is causing my problem, Reading numerous threads i have discovered...well actually Will has discovered the common problem of the trunk cylinder setting off the Security light. Hopefully Will is right in this case as well. Appreciate it everything guys. Hopefully its the trunk lock cylinder, Wish me luck!

When you get the solid "security" on when the ignition is in the "run" position, let it sit that way for about 5 minutes or so. The security light will go off, and you should be able to start the car at that time. I've had to do that with my SSE on more than one occassion. The problem causing it? Neutral safety switch. The neutral feature was still ok, but the gear decoder portion was shot. The computer thought the trans was in gear the whole time.
