Driver Door Electrical Problem
Hello all.
Wasn’t sure if this was a common problem but I thought I’d ask. My driver’* side switches just stop working. The only thing happening on the door now is the car locking itself when being put in drive and unlocking when being put in park. All the other doors switches work on the other doors. I cannot even open the trunk. I checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. Any ideas? My apologies in advance if this is that “GEICO” question for the forum.

hmmm...ya I have seen this kinda activity on the Pk ave before too occasionally.
Check to make sure both battery terminals are clean & tight.
I had a low battery charge at one point and a load test/ hydrometer test proved the battery was weak and the settings re driver'* memory 1-2 were getting mixed up etc and no working door locks at switches.
It could be the door control module or wiring as well.
What is the voltage reading after sitting for an hour on the battery?
Use a VOM under the hood at battery. Get battery load tested.
Try disconnecting both battery cables for a few minutes, and start the car, read voltage again while charging, post back readings.
Is your key FOB and security light going out & all working correctly?

Zehn, if your driver'* door locks/unlocks from the passenger switch, you either have a bad switch, wiring problem from the switch to the DDM, or a bad Driver'* Door Module....
Disconnect the harness to the driver'* door switch, and then jumper C to D, and then C to E.....door should lock and then unlock(if it does, you need a switch)...if it doesn't, check the ground at C..... if ok, then check wiring from terminals D and E to DDSA....if ok, then you need an assembly...

I seem to be having the same problem with my '01 Lesabre. I'd like to know the results of your test(*). I don't have any tools for this, but I might be able to rig up some jumpers for this one.
