Do the Century, regal and grand prix 4dr, all have same molded carpet?
Question pretty much is in headline.
I am looking to visit a junkyard in hopes in finding a good carpet for 1997 Buick regal. I wonder if anyone here knows for sure that if those cars or maybe even more models would have same molded carpet or not?
Thks

Its not exactly an exact science when it comes to carpet. I just compared 2 different 97 Buicks on Rockauto and the show 2 different part numbers for the carpet.
And quite honestly, I wouldn't buy a used carpet from the junkyard unless it came out of a brand new car. But that'* IMO.

Those cars, regal, century and Grand prix 1997-2003 were all built on the same platform. The W-body. Meaning everything on the underside of those cars is exactly the same. Granted the different trim levels and bigger engines and such. They are are the same.
The interiors are not the same however. To grab a carpet from a century and put into a regal. Yeah it will work. Those two cars are the same. The Regals were just a bit more sporty and over the century but it'* the same car. Now the grand prix is slightly different from those two cars. I bet a carpet from a Grand prix 97-03 could be made to work in a Regal or century.

This is my worry. That the Grand prix may have slightly different holes for things like the center console and seat belts. The floors are identical. I know the front seats should be fine. The holes in the carpet should line up. Rear is probably good.
Grand prixs were common in tan and a dark graphite interior. I know a lot of buicks have a light gray interior from that time. I have an 04 buick. So I know a bit about these cars. I also had a '97 Grand prix.

I understand. I had to pull the carpet in my car before cutting out the section of the floor board. If you take the carpet and pressure wash it really good they clean up really nice. Then give it a good shampoo.
