awhile back i had some trouble with my 1992 buick regal custom 3.8 and had it repaired .. it turned out to be the crankshaft positioning sensor ... I put over 2 thousands miles on it .. This morning 10/22/2011 I went to start it and she only cranks but does not turn over (on). any suggestions would be much help to me .. here was my last post months ago ..

I am frank , I have a 92 buick regal custom 3.8 ...I am having trouble with the auto. she starts and perhaps 1 or 2 miles into driving she turns off. She starts back up after 10 to 15 minutes. The guage does not register been hot untill she sits.I changed the plugs,relay switches,ignition cables and ignition module,air filter and a radiator flush. I had her for 1 year this june 2011. she has 106k miles. I changed the oil every 2k miles and rebuild the transmission 4 months ago. today is june 23 2011. I really need some help. auto zones diagnostics comes up with no codes.what to do ? is it a coolent sensor or o2 sensor? would a bad starter cause the car to stall while driving . I am out of options here.. can someone help with any suggestions please >> my e mail is cardona27@live.com

with older car you got treat each problem as new sometimes. did you check to see if you have spark? see if you hear the pump turn on when you turn the key? did you put in a new or used ign mod?

i Placed a new madule .. I have spark and fuel pump flows ... I am thinking maybe the crankshat position senor or cam shaft sensor ? what do you think?

if the crankshaft pos sensor was bad you wouldnt have spark.

the car is fixed ... harmonic balancer and crankshaft position sensor ... the old harmonic balencer is bent .. the car is running 10/23/2011 3.54 pm ... yay .. I will keep you all posted of this dilema i went through.. let me pray thats all i need to do other than regular maintence .... god speed everyone .. again a big yay....

I had a spark or two while trying to start it .. however after i replaced the crankshaft pos sensor the spark was a spark ..ha ha ha..constant and strong ... now i know .. thanks ..

my auto is still running .. going to florida jan 27th ... she should make it 1,234 miles one way .. its gonna be a 3,500 mile round trip ... wooo rahhhh ..
