Can I fool computer into thinking the air bag is OK?
I had to replace the driver seat in my 2000 Park Ave, I replaced it with a seat from a 99 PA. The 2000 had a side air bag in the seat. The 99 seat does not. I hooked the wiring harness up and the seat functions as it should but there was an extra connector for the air bag. Since there was no air bag in the 1999 seat there was nothing to plug in. Now the air bag light is on all the time. Can I install a resister under the seat to make the computer think the air bag is there?

I doubt it. Granted, airbags do have a resistor in parallel of the circuit so the computer knows that something is there.
You should probably find a direct replacement seat.

Technically he can, but he shouldn't....he'* altered the safety of his vehicle......and he is open for a lawsuit, if he gets into an accident, especially if someone else is driving....do as Mike says....

And this is exactly why I stay away from offering advice like that. "Well, you kinda can, but....". Its easier to just say no in a situation like this as you already mentioned.
