Default Cabin Air Filter location

Where is the Cabin Air Filter on a 2001 Park Avenue? The owners manual says that it is located to the right of the steering column. I have looked around and can't find it. Where else could it be?

I don't know Park Avenues very welll, but did you check outside in the engine bay? Most 00+ Bonnes'* cabin air filters are outside IIRC That'* assuming the 00+ Bonnes and the Park Avenues share similar ideas.
