Will see what Gm has to offer re the needed diode, but I have also found that there is a connector with a diode built into the wiring shroud. Made By SOS Metal Products Inc the part # is 323782 and it is located on the bottom left of this page.

GM confirmed no diode on these connectors. Separately part is available for installation.
I explained to them that not only was this connector missing the diode, but also had both wires in grey. They should have come properly wired in one black and one green for +.
Also missing was a notation of connector only on packaging and without diode.
Anyways, to heck with the GM solution I am not tearing apart the whole connection again.
I found at a local Air Cond. shop the connector with diode attached, that even came color coded ! Will cut off GM connector and solder/heat shirnk this one in place to solve this problem. Did not want to chance the diode that came off original connector, as it was too old so here is the new one with diode.

Ok The new connector with the diode is installed. All is well.
It should be noted that before there was a code stored for low voltage to AC Clutch, and it was creating some rattling and metal shavings caused by the magnet not pulling hard enough, without the proper voltage to engage clutch fully.
Mike ya on the Park Ave or any GM with connector shown, if you call GM the part you will get will the PT209 without a diode. They are not including the diode with the connector it is sold separate.
Cold working air conditioning, just in time here & with the diode the system is now protected from voltage spike going up towards the relay and beyond.

Just thought I would mention for you electrical type inclined folks.....
I soldered the new connector in place & used the very best heat shrink tubing...
This tubing actually has glue in it, sticks like crazy, will guarantee a waterproof seal & never move, & real thick quality rubber heat shrink.
For quality wires nothing beats the tin/copper Ancor Marine wire & connectors!
