99 Regal LS climate control display
Just picked up a 99 Regal LS this weekend. I've noticed that the A/C climate control display is out. A/C seems to work fine...I just cannot see the internal or external temp...and I think it should show the fan speed too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Dad used to has a 98 GS, over time the digital climate control faded and he got it replaced because eventually you couldn't even see what it said. I don't know if the same thing will happen eventually if you replace it though.

The first picture in the article shows how to take the console apart.

The second picture shows which resistors to resolder.
These resistors need to resoldered using 2% silver solder like Radio Shack #64-103.
The 64-103 is (or used to be) the same solder as Kester 62/36/2 Electronic Silver Solder..

Sorry for the misplaced post. Was just looking for maximum exposure, and I did not read the guidelines completely. Feel free to move this post to the appropriate area.

I have a new but related problem. (I haven't had time to fix my display yet) Now I cannot change the air flow direction of my ducts. Air comes out from the top, middle, and bottom all the time. I can control the air speed, and the air is still very cool. I've read on here that I should probably be looking for a vacuum leak? Can someone tell me where to start first?
