Default Need PIN IDs or PINOUTS for GM ABS connector Delphi DBC7 in 2002 Buick Regal

I have ABS codes pointing to a front wheel sensor. Want to check all the sensors and the front cables from the wheels to the ABS unit. It is a Delphi DBC7 nonintegrated unit.

The connector has the following configuration from the wires input side looking directly at the connector.

2 rows with 4 large contacts placed in 4 of the 8 square holes

3 rows with 14 smaller round contacts. There are 3 rows with 11 holes in each row.
The top row has 2 empty holes followed by 9 holes with contacts
The middle row has 6 empty holes followed by 1 contact, 2 empty, 2 contacts.
The bottom row has 6 empty holes followed by 1 contact, 3 empty, 1 contact.

Will attempt to show the round pins which contain the connections to the wheel sensors as small x for pin present and small o for no pin.
Will show large X for large square pin present and large O for no pin.

According to schematics at autozone.com the wheel sensors are pins

2 and 3 R R wheel
4 and 5 R F wheel
20 and 21 L F wheel
22 and 23 L R wheel

A second schematic shows
R R at A5 and A6
R F at A7 and A8
L F at 9 and A10
L R at A3 and A4

I am looking at the RF as the cultrit.

Can anyone simply give me the locations of the 33 positions in the ABS connector?

Your making this to hard plug one end in a meter at the hub connection
and when you hear a tone on your meter you know you have that circuit.
it should show 000.
Then shake the wire to see if it changes from 000.
So did you ever check the hub bearing ?
If its not bad I can see doing all this.

Hub sensor at the wheel housing plug over 1000 ohms. Have the GM Montana shop book and it says from about 900 to 1300 ohms from about 68 degrees to 100 degrees is OK. Montana uses the same hub as the Buick Regal.
I want to compare all 4 sensors and look at resistance.

If I know which pins are for which sensor a lot easier than testing every pin on the ABS connector and also easier to determine an open or shorted wire in the wheel cable.

If anyone knows how the 33 round pins shown in the first post are numbered please let me know the numbering scheme.

That is what I see in a schematic........look closely at the harness, it should be numbered, as to pin positions...

Default Found picture of DBC7 ECTCM connector and its pinouts

Found a GM document showing a diagram of the connector and a table of all pinouts on the connector.


The top row shown in my first post has pins A1 - A 11
Second row is B1 - B11 and third row is C1 - C11

The wheel sensors are all on the A pins.
The large square pins are labeled (top row) A and B +12 volts
and (bottom row) C and D.

I am now taking my DVM out to the car and checking wire integrity and sensor resistance.

Default Was a broken wire about 3 inches fron the wheelwell connector

Armed with the picture of the ABS connector ohmed out all 4 wheel sensors at the ECBM connector. LF, RR, and LR all came out to about 1180 ohms.
RF was infinate. Removed front wheels and RF wheelwell connector and ohmed out the 2 wires going to pins A7 and A8. Continuity on A7, and infinate on A8. Went underneath car and opened wiring harness near starter as I had replaced a solenoid and wanted to check there first. Used a straight pin to puncture tan wire which was open to the wheelwell connector. Got continuity there from ECBM connector. Opened the hard plastic conduit in the wheelwell. Got continuity there. Went to near the 2 pin connector and found a bad spot where the tan wire was open. Repaired the open and checked at the wheelwell connector. Continuity on both wires now to ECBM connector. Plugged the hub sensor back in and checked resistance. Was about 1090 ohms. Lower than the other 3 but in the range of a good sensor.
Unplugged battery for about 20 minutes to drop the codes and then started engine. No ABS or TRAC OFF light. Went for a short drive. No lights. The momentary TRACTION switch now works and turns the traction control on and off. Will see if anything else happens.
If the hub sensor wan not bad saved the cost of the hub and the time to install it as it would have shown the same errors with a broken ABS wire.

Good you fixed it I just wonder why you never said {I CHECKED THE HUB BEARING AND IT FELT NORMAL}
Had you we all would have told you to check for a broken wire to that wheel

Regal Guy, I have seen loose hubs NOT cause a bearing noise, AND, not cause an ABS code......it'* not a foolproof test....it is an indication of a future problem.....
