97 PK Ave Stock-Come with an Oil Cooler??
Ya so I am wondering if the 97 Pk Ave has an oil cooler somewhere and if it does... some line and location diagram would be extremely helpful.
If it doesn't have an oil cooler, I will have to shoot some photos on the hoist to show what lines under there appear to be leaking some oil of some kind.
Maybe power steering lines, (does it have a power steering cooler?) but reservoir seems to keep full. Brake res stable too.
I know the tranny has lines running to rad but fluid is not red. More clear brown but hard to tell exactly.
I replaced the valve covers so all is dry except the leaky lines were to the right of tranny up in there close to steering rack and a few noticeable drips.
Best I can do for now without pictures.

No external engine oil cooler that I know of. Unless it was installed by a previous owner.
Transmission cooler lines run from underneath the airbox, along the bottom of the radiator and up to the middle.
Powersteering does have a cooler. About 3 inches in length. Sits underneath somewhere. ???
If its coming from the powersteering pump area and the level is fine, then I'm thinking your oil pressure sensor is leaking. I had that happen twice in the last year, and like 2 other members here in the last month or so.

Normally the oil pres sending unit is around or above the oil filter is that the location on the Pk Ave?
I had a feeling the PA had no oil cooler, but it is hard to trace while up on hoist too.
Will take camera with me when I do the accumulator transgo shift kit work in a few weeks.
Still waiting on that 4t65E kit to arrive from vendor on fleabay.

Thanks Mike, I forgot to mention that on the digital car'* oil'* pressure reading it seems to be now varying from 115 psi to now 129 psi. Before it was about 124 to 129 psi.
Does this sound like a problem or normal?

It could be 2 things. Oil is indeed seeping past the plastic diaphram in the sensor. Or, your oil is losing viscosity, which is normal. Depending how long its been since you changed the oil.

Fresh like 2 weeks ago, Synthetic..ah....better have a look at that sending unit & seal.
If it needs a new pressure sending unit, does it matter what brand to use like Napa or should I try to get OEM or Delco or what recommended if it is required..
better to ask now.. by the sounds of it.

I'd say go with OEM.

How much hand room is in there to replace it? Me got big mits.
Looks like they are about $35$ for one in AC Deloc anyways.

Yea, I got big mitts too. Not much room. I find it easier to remove the 2 bolts for the power steering pump and let it drop out of the way. This opens up more room.
