It doesn't have to be a tranny shop, any code scanner should do. So even your local autozone. If the long adaptive shift code has set, it will store a powertrain code, but just wont turn on the check engine light.

Sorry, I don't think those pocket scanners scan for trans codes. Check out Actron'* scanners. They run around $2-300 for a decent kit which will also scan the ignorant OBD 1.5 systems that no one else can. Put an ad in craigslist saying you can scan 95 GM'*. $10 per scan. You can make some money.

Alright thanks mike ill see if i could find one somewhere or order it...
Also, i noticed it has to b a major problem at first i was thinkn maybe it was only when shifting into 4th.. So while i was out i start testing the waters.. Start flooring it from a dead stop and the power just didnt seem there seemd pretty muffled, and shifted while easing off the gas.
Then i tried flooring it while doing about 30-35 and same thing happend and that hesitation is mostly when going into 4th

Are you sure its not engine related? Sometimes a long over due tuneup can make things seem mushy without throwing a light. PCM can cut back on power and retard the trans if things don't seem right with the engine.
