Default 97 Park Ave Front strut assembly?

Anyone know where i can find front strut assemblys for my 97 PA, cant find them anywhere. Had a guy tell me to get the assemblies for the 98 & cut the upper strut mounts so that they'd fit... But tht ls only a option if i absolutely have to.

Probably because they are not replaced as an entire assembly. 99% of the time, the spring is reused because it doesn't wear out.

Spring compression tools are fairly cheap these days. I mean, if your tackling this job yourself, surely you can use a compression tool and remove/install the springs yourself.

Either way, you will need to take the car to a shop for realignment afterwards.

you probably want the monroe one if you want the soft ride. you can get that nut off if you have a strut that has a allen in the top and a big wrench. all the aftermarket ones i have bought had them so you can tighten it down if you dont have a impact wrench.

and i would do it before i took it out of the car so it holds still, break it loose but not much more than that because it holds the spring pressure
