I decided to go ahead and put my plugs back in today, and I did some more looking, and feeling around, I noticed the wring protection sleeve was falling apart a bit on a wire under the power steering pump area, and then I felt something, and instantly knew I had another problem, but I am sure I found where that mysterious red fluid leak I mentioned came from, how easy, and cheap is this to fix?

That is my tie rod right?

as far as the oil maybe they were talking about the lifter valley if something fell in there.

Akkk ok, thanks for the help, I'll see if the clamp on there can be squeezed to get it back on, if not I'll get a rad clamp to use on it, but first I'll have to grease the two locations that need greasing.

The clamp boot (19 in diag) is on there, but moves freely, can that be squeezed and put back on?

I tried to get that clamp off of there there, but it looks like you have to use a screwdriver & bend up two tabs, that face different ways, I just grabbed my task force tin snips & removed it, I'll grease it when I can, and then get a clamp and screw it on there to keep the boot on, I'm sure that will save me from needing to replace that for a while, so thanks for your help!

I'm starting to think maybe the title to my issue should be car having more issues than owner can handle, lol
Seems like its Pandora'* Box, the further I dig into the car, the more problems I unleash upon myself to have to fix.
Glad I caught that though, the grease points are bone dry, and that would have caused that R&P Rod or whatever you call it to fail prematurely I'd imagine, since metal on metal with no lube is never good!

Any certain grease you'd recommend, I was considering this
I do not have a grease gun yet, but am considering getting one in the future, although I have a feeling it won't be useful unless I put my own grease fittings into the boots that would benefit by having a little fresh grease, or do boots on a Park Ave have serviceable fittings?
I'm thinking they are not supposed to need greasing, and have no fittings to service them, but in the future I'd like to change that if I can, I'm just not sure what the name of the fittings I'd need to tap into my boots with...

I think I found a clamp that will work, it says 4-1/2" OD Radiator Hose Clamp, so that should be plenty big enough, the actual size is like 3 1/2", I'll measure using a string just to be sure, as the clamp I tried to measure was not really measurable anymore.

i would just go to harbor freight, or northern tool or what ever you have handy and get a tub of grease, dont spend too much thought or money on it as you shouldnt have any more issues if its sealed, and most cars dont have any grease fittings anymore so i wouldnt bother with that either.
