Default 4T65e whines at 40 mph

I have a 2001 Park Ave,165k miles on it.i have a whine that is loudest at 40 mph, also there up to about 65 mph, whine goes away if you take foot off of accelerator. Could it be differential bearing problem? No slipping or other problems with transmission, fluid has been changed at correct intervals and I replaced the PCS around 40k ago. Each time fluid was changed the pan was clean,no debris. Thanks for your help!

Awfully difficult for any of us to diagnose a noise complaint without actually being there to hear it first hand. We could go on all day guessing, so its best you take it to a shop and have them take a gander at it.

We do have a couple others that may have some insight, but I think they might agree with the difficulty of diagnosing something like this.

Yeah, for a second, I thought we were dealing with a wheel bearing noise, but that noise would not go away with taking your foot off the accelerator pedal....
