Default upgrades...brakes, sway bar

So, my 2005 LeSabre (only 30K) has the FE1 suspension and 11" front brakes. I'd like to upgrade both. Compared to my Intrigue, the LeSabre doesn't stop as well and while I did not expect the LeSabre to handle as well, it surely wallows!

1. For my Olds Intrigue, I upgraded from 11" to 12" brakes by replacing the caliper brackets and the rotors, but keeping the same calipers and pads. Is this the same requirement for the LeSabre?

But, when I checked Autozone, the same caliper is listed for 11/12" brakes (great I thought), but AdvanceAuto or RockAuto lists DIFFERENT calipers for the 11 vs 12" brakes. So this is confusing, and much more expensive if I need to change the calipers. Advice would be appreciated!

2. I'm prepared to go to a junk yard and get a rear sway bar, as this car lacks one. But, I don't intend to modify the front sway bar/springs. Is there a maximum sway bar diameter that I should not exceed to maintain proper handling/balance between the front and rear of the car? That is, I can get sway bars from Bonnies, Park Aves, DTS, etc which range from 18 mm (probably the smallest), 20 mm, or even larger.

Also, does anyone know the wrench sizes I would need to bring to the junkyard to remove the bar and associated brackets?

Thanks!

Thanks for verifying that Autozone lists the calipers as being identical. The brackets would have to be different to accomodate the different rotor diameter (11" vs 12")

However, Autozone is not in agreement with AdvanceAuto nor RockAuto.

Hopefully, someone has some actual experience with the calipers coming with 12" rotors vs 11" rotors!
