Default Buick Allure 3.6L camshaft sensors coding

I have a 2005 Allure with a 3.6L engine. The engine light is on and returns when cleared. All 4 camshaft sensors as well as the 4 actuators are all coding. My local mechanic is baffled. Thinks it might be a common ground but can't find where that would be. Any thoughts, suggestions, or similar problems?

no ground, there is a common feed, you need to check that you have the proper voltage to all sensors, and you should check the resistance from the sensors to the ecm pins. since the low reference to the pcm is tied to a bunch of other things its not likely the issue, the wire from the sensor to the splice s199 could be, but i would think that would cause one code not many;

Default Thanks for the help jwfirebird

jw,
I'm going to take the schematic to my mechanic and let him try your suggestion. I take it that you meant "splice S119" as I couldn't locate S199 on the drawing.
Regards and thanks again.

s119 is splice 119. as i said though since you are not having trouble with those other things that are also tied to s119, i think i would look at the 5v reference to s121 first.

I am getting codes for the 4 actuators as well as the camshaft sensors so could the problem be at S110? As you can tell, I'm not much of a gearhead especially when it comes to electronics in a car. Appreciate all your assistance jw

i havent worked on the cmp actuators before but i am taking an educated guess that if you have an issue with the cmp sensors it will set codes for the actuators, sometimes with things it needs to do like lock the actuators in one position because the pcm cant see where they are it will effect other things.
