Check this out...found this when changing wires
ok I bought new Delco wires for my car and did the easy ones first..the front 3...the middle plug looks like it has small black lines or cracks in the porcelin....is this my bucking problem ??

Those black lines are very fine cracks. The black is caused by carbon build up from arcing out to ground. This will absolutely give you a misfire.

Also I noticed the OLD wires say "Packard" not ac delco...the new ones say AC Delco Silicone....

also...how much dieelectric grease should I use on both the plug tip and coil pack tip ??? Just a dab on the tip or cover the porclin on the plug too ??

You may have pulled the original wires off. I also had this brand on the car when I got it, and I believe that mine was serviced at the dealership last. What brand of plugs came out? AC Delco?

as for the dieelectric grease...it doesnt make sense to me to put it on the contacts...is no conductive......

That is exactly the point of dielectric grease ... it is non-conductive. It keeps moisture out of your electrical connections without creating a path to ground or bridging two contacts. Also makes it easier to remove boots from spark plugs. I use dielectric grease on every electrical connection I take a part, including the boots at both ends of the spark plug wires.
