Default Supercharger oil question

I kno delco makes super charger oil, but i heard that you could also use ( 5w-30 or 0w-30 ) / "not both but one or the other i just remember it being a low oil" / in the 3800 series 2 super charger... How accurate is this? Because i dont wana mess something up putting it in there. I use royal purple in my engine and usually have some left over in tht could be used to change the super charger oil if applicable... Just dont want to doit and end up having to buy or rebuild the supercharger...

Mobil 5W-30 SYNTHETIC is a GM approved substitute.

Does that go for the M-90 Eaton in the Series III as well Mike?

I was going to buy 2 bottles of the Delco stuff to do mine.

I know you probably do not have one on hand, but this is what I used.http://www.amazon.com/Syringe-30cc-L...9105922&sr=8-1

I just got a small pack of aquarium pump tubing, and attached about 10" of tubing to the syringe, the tubing fit perfectly, and I was able to drain, or add 1oz at a time.

Yeah man, it worked well with the flexible hose to get almost every bit out.
I got lucky and had one because I got a 10 pack of them for mixing my dogs mite meds with polypropylene glycol so it would be at the right strength to use as a monthly wormer, kind of like heart guard..
A 30-1 ratio of Ivermectin and the PG and I save a lot of money compared to what people spend for things like heart-guard..
