Transmission tuner for 4t80e
Has anyone purchased one of these for their GXP? I am wondering if they help at all? DP shows them, but good luck getting anything response from them.

Does any place else offer the transmission tuner? I am glad to hear someone else advise about DP, I was skeptical about sending them money before I receive any product. Ty has promised me things in the past and never came through with them, so thanks for the warning! I wish Scott from Intense would post his findings so far, if any. I think they will be the best bet at getting any performance parts for the GXP'*.

This simple plug-in device makes your automatic overdrive transmission perform the best it can without a performance rebuild.
This unit is the very best of the budget performance options on the market.
TransTuner™ increases line pressure and shift firmness, eliminates expensive valve bodywork, eliminates overdrive torque converter shudder, and eliminates burnt bands increasing transmission life. Best of all, TransTuner™
Won’t void the factory powertrain warranty.
Installation takes about 10 minutes with no special tools required.
Each system is backed by a limited 90-day warranty.
Sounds kind of like a shift kit, to coin old muscle car terminology!

This will sound stupid, But is it possible to simply have the PCM set up for firmer shifts? Such as increased line pressure... ?

Go to www.seriesoneperformance.com and look at the options for the earlier cars. Search on the brand names. Yes, they work. I'm assuming you're looking for something as nobody offers a GXP chip yet?

What is wrong with Domestic Performance? I too was skeptical about that guy. He never returns emails or phone calls.
Btw...Jim...may be looking at a new transmission already -- the bands and clutch packs are burnt. Just had it checked out by Cottman.....great.
