Ceramic pads for GXP - Where to buy??
Does anyone know where I can purchase some brand of ceramic pads for my GXP? Every place I go to tells me that they are not offered for that car yet. I find this hard to believe since tha car has been out for almost 2 years now. HELP!! Brake dust is killing me!

Thanks for the reply, but I found them at Advance Auto a couple of weeks ago. They were the easiest brakes I have ever installed, if you end up doing them yourself and need some help, let me know! All you need is a 12 mm wrench and a C clamp to compress the calipers(or something equivalent), took me all of about 15 minutes to do front and back! And the difference is awesome! Better stopping and NO brake dust!! Good luck!

Brakes on 2004 vs 2005 GXP'*
Does anyone happen to know if they changed anything with the brakes from the 2004-2005 model year for the GXP'*? Specifically the front brake pad sizes. I ordered some ceramic brake pads online from Advance Auto Parts (Partsamerica.com) and they had different size pads listed for the 2004 and 2005 model year. When I received the ones they had listed for the 2004, they were way too small. They looked like they were for an SE so I sent them back. Then I looked at the 2005 GXP'* and they had an entirely different part number. I never did get my replacement front pads so I am still looking. I may try those Raybestos Quiet Stops some of you have mentioned but they are semi-matallic, not ceramic so I am wondering a little.

Ceramic Pads! What a difference!
I put on the ceramic pads and have nothing but good things to say about them! They leave no brake dust, there is absolutely no squeaking, and they stop just as good if not better than the original equipment, whatever they were. And the cost was very reasonable. I paid $45 for the front and $38 for the rear. I got them at Autozone. I highly recommend ceramic pads if you are sick of the brake dust and squeaking. These things will disappear once you put these on. What a difference!
