just a little FYI, there are tons of aurora'* and n* cadillacs in the 150k to 200+k range, im at 140k, and besides a few suspension problems (balljoints-to be expected) it purrs like a kitten a 600rpm. for 2k+ bonne'*, aren't the 1/4 times like 15.7? according to gm they are. a autobahn aurora is 15.9, the 2k1+'* are 15.7, but a higher trap speed. L67'* do have more tq, but n*'* have 3.71 gears to make up for it.

if i can take a GTP from a role, i can take a ssei. from a stop though, yeah, the GTP put the hurt on, but they're faster than a ssei

taylor will vouch for it, he had a 96 aurora (non-autobahn) then got a 2001 ssei, they were very similiar in performance, his aurora had exhaust, but also the worse gearing. from a stop, the ssei had more pull, but from a role, the aurora had a good deal more power, thats why the 1/4 times end up being the same, with the 4.0 having a higher trap speed.

modded, of course the l67 takes the win big time, but how many cars out there are modded? not many.

Default Statistics

All I can say is look at the #'*. 240hp vs 250hp stock. 280lbs torque vs. 260lbs torque. Lighter in weight vs. heavier. Which set of stats looks more appealing. I'm not talking about special autobaun models. I'm talking about taking a stock SSEI vs a stock 4.0. Read caranddrivers.com, edmunds.com or msn.com reviews. The SSEI even by the pros seems to have the edge. I like them both anyways. They both should have remained just with better upgraded packages.

Ya, thats true, I guess upgraded packages just gives the consumer a few more options. However the SSEi with 10 less HP and 20 more ft/lbs of torque makes it an "off the line" monster.

Its decievingly fast when you can get to 60mph in only a few seconds. What is the stock 0-60 in an SSEi anyway? 7 seconds? I think is more accurate to compare the non-Autobahn equipped Aurora with the SE/SLE Bonneville and the Autobahn equipped Aurora to the SSEi. Silly thing is, the Autobahn Rora does 0-60 in 7.1 or 7.2...essentially the same as the SSEi.

I believe the weight differences are a non factor in this comparision, its about 100lbs heavier...(someone wanna confirm that) the Aurora (95-99 weighs in at 3950lbs stock).

Also, one thing I want to know is exactly what we are comparing...95-99 Aurora to the 96-99 SSEi or 2001+ Aurora to the 2000+ SSEi? or a 95-99 Aurora to the 2000+ SSEi?

more than half are autobahns, its not a huge upgraded package, just 3.71'* verses 3.48. whats a SSEI have? 2.93? you fogot to add that performance factor in there! ive heard 7.6 for 0-60 and 15.7 for autobahn aurora'*.

jeez, there both cool cars, targeted at completely different markets!! let it be
