shortstar oil pressure

shortstar oil pressure
I sometimes get the "low oil pressure" on my DIC when i first start the engine cold. When fully warmed up I checked my oil pressure and this is what I found. at idle it'* 17 PSI. Cruising it'* 42 PSI and at WOT it'* 75 PSI. Sound normal? The idle oil pressure seems low to me...

Thats kinda strange....
Not sure if thats normal or not...
General Rule of thumb is 10psi for every 1000 Rpms.... In my opinion 17psi seems a bit low even for idle.... Maybe the oil pressure sending unit is in a world of its own?
Anyone have a Service manual that covers the 3.5 and 4.0 Auroras?

I've checked my cold oil PSI and when I first start the car it'* around the low 90 mark. a quick rev to 2,000 RPM and it spikes to 116 PSI. It'* only hot oil pressure that seems low. But I've been told it'* normal. odd.

On my car, 9-10 PSI at operating temperature idle is normal. At 4 PSI the warning goes off.
Mind you I keep it at KPA (metric)...FYI mutliply PSI x 7 to get KPA.
At start up, my KPA never gets higher then 442 KPA (or 63 PSI)
