Removing the grill?
Does anyone here know how to remove the grill from the GXP? I was thinking about painting the grill chrome, but I dont want to do it while the grill is attached. Do you think the Pontiac service dept would let me look into their manuals? Appreciate any comments you would have about painting also.

I don't know how to get the grill off the GXP, but I'm sure a few minutes of studying would reveal how.
Merlin 91/97 did a nice little write up on how he did his.

They pop out the same as an ssei 2k+......3 locking tabs on the bottom and two on top. You can kinda pull on the outer trim around the grill and twist them out.

5.3- I called the dealership, they dont make em for the GXP right now. I think that if the paint was done well it would look just as good and be a bit cheaper too...

Thanks, I already knew that as I said, I am waiting. I'll let you guys know as soon as it becomes available. Good luck with the paint. Thanks for asking.
