To me that'* a bit hard on a car/transmission. The alternative (my choice) is just find places to start from a standstill and WOT through the gears a couple times. And feel it "breath" a little better afterwards.
what about driving it hard all the time? sadly i have a heavy foot, is it bad?
everytime i take off it prolly shift around 5k rpm, am i pushing it for daily driving it like this?

we all love our GXPs and we know they are fast, sexy & head turners
but theres a difference between a fast 4dr and a track 4dr IMO. The GXP is a boat, if you wanna take it on the track might as well join the honda ricer group

YOU HAVE AFTERMARKET MUFFLERS ON YOUR CAR?!?!?!
i need a video! please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
im very interested in putting after market exhaust just so its a TINY bit louder, but i'm really worried about cabin noise

driving like that all the time is probably rough on the trans and axles and bushings, but as long as you know that, what ever has been built can be rebuilt. and when you find what breaks put something stronger in its place.

Has anybody tried successfully to change their PCM to the higher HP versions? That LH2 version sounds like it could be fun. I can compare the DeVille to the GXP as I owned a '99. It ran quite well, and got 27 mph (hwy). I do feel the GXP gets up and goes a little better, (3.70 final drive gears) but the seat of the pants feel has to go to the DeVille. I'd like to possibly try to swap PCM'*. Any comments?

i highly doubt you can, so you're talking about swapping a Deville PCM into a GXP?

throwing what was likely a L37 tune on a LD8 is going to cause nothing but trouble.

Yes, trouble. Valve specs, cam timing is different. And why do it??? The LD8 produces MORE torque than the L37.

A good way to explain top HP is having the engine have a load applied and measured for a moment of time. With top torque it'* a measurement of power being supplied consistently while the load is on regardless of time. So which is really a true measurement? Torque.
