Default Exhaust Smell in Cabin at cold start/noisy pulleys

I have a 2005 GXP with 31K on it. I have had the "usual" problems, but my dealer has been great about fixing everything.
My car stays outside due to garage space issues. I have noticed that when the temp at night drops below 32F and I go to start the car the next morning, there is a pronounced exhaust smell that comes into the cabin of the car. If I turn the heating/cooling system off, the smell is minimized, but it is still there. The smell goes away once I start driving the car.
I also noticed that my pulleys/belts are pretty noisy/squeaky when it is cold as well.
Has anyone had this same problem(*)? I just don't remember having these problems last winter.
Any and all advice and feedback would be great!
Thanks.

the rear doors on our cras were cheaply put together when on the highway it sounds like a window is open..

tore it all apart and added some windshield caulking to no avail next up is some foam insulation.

I'm also in Brighton Michigan.
My 2005 also stays outside. I haven't noticed a smell or belt noise (yet). Sorry.

I took the car to the dealer last week and they did indeed find an exhaust leak. My local Pontiac dealer found and noted "an exhaust leak at the EGR pipe". Whatever that means. The pipe had to be replaced. They also found another water leak (my second) on the floor of the driver'* side back seat. Lastly, they replaced my serpentine belt due to "premature wear".
I now have 31K on the car and I have been back to my dealer 15+ times in the past 12 months to fix multiple issues. Needless to say, I am in the process of exploring my legal options.

At 31,000 miles You may have reached the point of no recourse. But here is the Pontiac number for bitchn 800.762.2737. Have all your info about repairs and how many times it'* been to the Dealers. I dont know if You wouild still qualify for the Lemon Law. GM uses the BBB to arbitrate unresolvable issues and by agreement has to go by the BBB'* decision. Here is their National number 800.955.5100 for arbitration hearing request forms. So if GM doesnt want to be cooperative try them. You dont qualify for the Buy Back Policy after 2 years/ 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) but if Your posturing * adamant enough, You may get them to throw ya a extended warranty. If all else fails, try these guys http://www.autosafety.org/lawyersandexperts.php ..... and good luck. You can also help yourself and others by writing Washinton and telling them your problems, find your States Senators and Representatives and e-mail them at www.house.gov/writerep/ and www.senate.gov

GXP Venom,
Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it. When I first started having problems, GM offered me an extended warranty up to 40K. Then over the summer, I had a major water leak in my trunk and some brake issues and they offered me a warranty up to 75K. In both cases, GM never sent me the paperwork after the verbally agreed to give me the warranties. My dealer and I are dumb-founded as to why the paperwork was never sent. I contacted GM a few weeks ago about the status of the warranty and they told me that they are "still working on my case".
I have always taken care of my car and always taken it back to the dealer for service. It is definitely not abused. I just want to be treated right by GM. I will keep you posted. Thanks again!
