HID Kit Questions
I got a HID kit for the low beams, but when I hook it up they don't work. Is there a relay or somthing I need to get? (Just a reminder, the GXP low beams are also the DRL'*)

Please do not post non related questions in old threads. Most members tend to ignore old posts and it makes our searchengine ineffective for members looking for a answers to problems. If you want an answer to a problem, please take the time to start your own thread. Thanx.

You remebered that then, Thanks Brian. I must have gotten a bogus kit. I just hard wired one of the ballast direct to a 12v battery and nothing happens. Time to start over. Maybe just go to HID Fogs and high beams, maintain DRL'* as is. Don't know what I want to do but don't want to get to deep into rewiring and upset the finicy electronic gods of Northstar

Thats cool and all good Man. It'* just us Old Timers get a kneejerk reactions when we see a different question/answer posted in an older thread. By being "sticklers" to this makes for a great inhouse search engine tool for others with problems.

Don't get HIDs for high beams. If you want brighter high beams, get Phillips HIR 9011 bulbs.

I had to install this relay from the positive post to the ballast due to a passenger side fog light flickering. This harness is used to protect your HID bulbs, as well as solve the flickering light issue that some vehicles experience with aftermarket HID Kits. These Digital Relay Harnesses are designed to fix issues that result from low electrical current from cars, and the single light turning on during startup.
