Exclamation Ticking HELP....Axel?

Ok so I own a 2004 GXP with about 39K in it. I am having a ticking sound that is ONLY when in gear and accelerating..its coming from behind the drivers side floor or fire wall. Like I said I can have it in park and rev up the engine and i dont hear it. But when in gear and driving its really loud ONLY when pressing on the gas. In december I had a wreck where I hit a curb and the right front wheel bent sideways. I had the axel replaced in order to fix it. I went to a muffler shop thinking it was the manifold and they told me there was nothing wrong with it. What could this sound be? Transmission? Axel? I have no clue but its going in the shop to get looked at 5-6 so we will see. The work that was done with the axel is under warrenty so I am taking it to the shop where they did the work. Thanks for any ideas!

??? Ticking is a real rough problem to give an opinion on. Could be something as brake pad hung, something hitting the backing plate. We have had a few premature front bearing failures here.

Im hoping its something simple...I guess I am just more freaked out because I only hear with when pressing the gas. Only when I put my car in gear and give it the gas there is a loud CLICK from the left wheel..same if reverse and hit the gas CLICK...so i can put my foot on the brake give it a little gas and i will get a loud click from the left wheel everytime I go from D to R and R to D...And im sorry the crash I had was to the front LEFT wheel not the right.
