my 01 Aurora V6 has the 4t65E transmission which is the same as the Bonneville uses, but, no, I haven't had any issues.

all v8 aurora'* have the 4t80e. which is a tank of a transmission. its the biggest, strongest auto fwd transmission gm'* built (minus the grand prix gxp 4t65hd upgraded for the v8 grand prix'*.)

the transmissions are very tuff, so tranny faliure is pretty uncommon. i did have my shift solinoids go out, they changed to style on them, so if it breaks, its basically impossible for the new style to break. that'll cost you about $400 if you dont want to change it yourself, somthing like $80 if you do it yourself. if your a pretty good do it yourself mechanic, they're not to hard to change, very intimidating taking out some of the guts of the transmission though.
