Default Any Bonne GXP Reviews in the mags yet?

I subscribe to Motor Trend and have yet to have read a solid test drive review with performance stats yet. MT had an article a few months ago where they questioned the front drive and the "numbish magnasteer" but other than that, they didn't post any data that I wanted to see as far as performance goes, they just gave their opinion. Have the Car and Driver readers seen anything yet? Thanks.

I've been wondering the same thing here. We get Road & Track, Car and Driver, and Motor Trend here and haven't seen anything other than the advertisements that show the GTP on one page saying 260 hp, turn the page and there is the GXP boasting 275 hp, turn the page again and there is the GTO showing 350 hp, and turn the page again and you'll see all three. That ad'* been in each of the 3 magazines, but no other mention of it. Nowhere at all. Hard to believe they put a Northstar V8 in a Bonneville, which has gotten good-excellent reviews from all of them prior to this and now they don't even blink -it'* as if they are blind to probably the biggest highlight over at Pontiac -ok, so the GTO is back, but it'* not as bad-*ss as you'd expect.

No, I specified that I wanted some track-testing figures. I've been to that edmund'* site and all it talks about is what the car has as far as features go. I know all of that stuff, I want real-world 0-60 times etc. I think 6.8 as stated by GM is a bit modest for a 275hp V8 with the aggressive 3.71:1 rear end.

R&T had a short blurb on it when it was first announced... they prettymuch said that it would not be a good idea to get a V8 bonneville with gasprices rising... I agree

Gross ugly Subaru Forester can keep up to the GTO.....no wonder they are too embarrased to performance test it.
5.7 L six speed performance two door barely able to keep up to a 4 door family 2.5 L 4 banger......not to mention the mileage difference.
....by todays standards, it'* a disappointment.

I'll agree with that... I'll keep my 165 HP old school bonnie simply because it will do 31+ mpg, and that was flying too... Yes I was way over the speed limit and still logged 31mpg on a long trip... Makes one wonder what the car would have done at a steady 75 mph... lol And my 205 HP 95 bonnie, does 32mpg @75 all day long...

By any chance does anyone know the milage for the GTO?
I am thinking like 13 city and 20-21 highway.
I agree -I wish I had a nice LN3 to drive to work and back every day. Commuting in the SSEi is about 20-22 mpg and 30-33 in the SLE. If I was still driving the old 1989 Lesabre Limited I bet I'd be seeing 35 consistantly -which is what I did alot of before -I even say 37-38 on a couple occasions.
