2004 GXP - Front Wheel Hub Mystery??
My mechanic (not from a dealership) told me that our wheel hubs can not be greased and that they need to be totally replaced. I have read through the forum and it seems like people have done both.
Can they just be greased?
Can they just be greased?

Ebay is not a place to trust your safety in regards to something like a wheel hub. There are a great deal of manufacturers of car parts in the Far East distributed here that care less of the quality of materials and workmanship. When you have to replace a part that has your life in it'* hands, better to pony up the bucks for a name brand. That'* why a item like a Ball joint can go as low as under $20 to over $80. I look for a middle ground price from a name I'm familiar with.

Thousands of dollars in repairs for a part he should have forked over the extra $10.

Honestly, find a Timken hub, and be done with it. ACDelco as far as I'm concerned sucks, since my OEM hubs were gone by 50k and the car had significant wheel wobble above 60 mph as a result. That, and the ACDelco hubs are significantly more expensive.

Timken and Moog are the only parts under my dually truck front end. The boat I haul including trailer weighs 8400 Lbs. And the last thing I want going down the Interstate @ 70MPH is to hear something grind or snap.
