Default northstar performance

Hello everyone...
I have a 2004 GXP and just love it however as you can never have to much power does anyone know how to unleash the full power of this engine. I already have a K&N Filter. Also what is the difference between this engine and the one in the Caddi that pumps out 300 HP??? :?

Okay basically hp sir. FYI there is no more 300 N* in the Deville/new DTS. The motor makes 291hp and 286lbft. of tq. The 300 horse one you thinking of was stopped being put in the DTS in 2004! They call the 291hp verison the NHP **I believe its the same as an L37**. You have an LD8 in yours my friend which I just posted an application list. Here'* the link scroll down and read my post that should clear the rest of it up. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=45123
Oh and you have the 275hp and 300lbft. of tq verison which is the LD8.
Need anything more just ask.

The Northstar really doesnt have a lot of mods, the GXP exhaust is pretty good, but I wouldnt really want to tear down a perfectly good new exhaust for an extra 10HP or so. Intake is a good idea, gutting the airbox (if required) to clear any plastic baffling in the stock air box is good.

Someday when someone hacks the PCM, thats where you'll see more power potential.
