Drilled rotors are very prone to breakage. If you're going for drilled ones, make sure to regularly inspect them for cracks.

Slotted rotors eat pads a little faster, but are just as reliable as the regular, flat ones.

I've been rocking R1 Concepts' rotors for six months now. Many members here are fond of them, and they don't cost too much more than the regular, run of the mill ones.

Are the drilled-only more noisy than stock? I have the drilled & slotted that are quite a bit more noisy.

i installed them over 30k KM ago along with Hawk ceramic pads and they are still looking brand new.
Down side is i doubt they can be machined when you're changing your brakes, but i'm the kinda guy that doesnt believe in machining, i always replace both brakes and rotors.

my stock used to make noise ALL the time when i'm preparing to stop, with the drilled only rotors i never hear it, sometimes on very very hot days but overall its no longer there
plus i think they look sexy

That'* what I figured. The slots are where the extra noise comes from, and probably that'* why OEM doesn't use them.

I still love em though.
